Design Story

The surface divides into two registers. Above, a pearl-cream field holds an oval cartouche outlined in gold filigree and bright faceted accents; inside it, the crimson script letterform sits as the single dominant symbol, with "ALABAMA CRIMSON TIDE" and a smaller line of type below anchoring the eye downward. The lower register reverses the palette into deep crimson, where scrolling gold ornament frames a circular medallion reading "ROLL TIDE" and "EST 1831". Contrast does the work: light against dark, restrained negative space around the emblem against dense decorative flourish beneath. Nothing moves, and that stillness is the point.

Use & Experience

The vertical proportion of the tumbler suits this stacked hierarchy — crest first, wordmark second, ornamental base last. The front-facing focal panel keeps the script legible from a distance, while the wraparound banding and gold trim carry the design around the silhouette. The handle sits to one side, leaving the emblem uninterrupted. On a desk, it reads as a small ceremonial object rather than a shouted logo.
